Room Mate

This is a film trailer for the film "Room mate". When researching into the thriller genre film trailers i came across "Room mate", both me and my group were very interested with this film trailer and it gave us great inspiritation to create a film trailer around the same type of narrative but to create it using elements of our original first trailer idea, which would of been a social realism genre. If we were to link both film idea's together we would be able to produce a much stronger film trailer which would include a variety of creative idea's in which would help us to incorporate a good source of film techniques which would make an interesting film making it interesting for the audience and wanting them to watch more.
When watching the trailer of "Room Mate" the audience are able to see how it contains a variety of film techniques including a variety of camera angles, diegetic and non-diegetic sounds and when the pace of the film becomes a lot faster the cuts between scenes are alot more energetic and fast, this is what helps to create the thriller genre throughout.
 Room Mate has  inspired my group very much and since watchig the film trailer we have decided to use it as our stimulus. By using this as our starting point we are able to watch it more frequently in detail and discover the elements used in which link it with the thriller film genre. 
I feel by watching this film trailer it has helped us compare a variety of other film trailers and given us a great amount of ideas of which we shall be able to include when making our film trailer. As a group we have decided on scenes that should appear within our trailer as both a group and individually! We have linked our weakness and strengths together and since have created an animatic which represents what our trailer shall include. We feel tha by doing this research and thinking of more idea's of what to include within our trailer we shall be able to connect with our audience members even further, with this we hope we can create a creepy atmosphere in which helps us to build a tension throughout the trailer and it shall then hopefully lead into the audience members wanting to watch more.
